I urge the City Council to approve the FEIR and to speed up building the new stadium to keep the A's in Oakland.
The A's deal should be looked at for what it is, not as part of some other narrative. The City Council and Mayor are wise to the issues created by the Raiders and their departure. While not without impacts, any issues the new stadium creates will be handled well by our city employees, elected leaders, and the hardworking people of the Port.
A "no" vote does not tell the A's to build at the Coliseum (they won't) nor does it tell the city to spend the money fixing potholes or hiring staff. Instead, it kicks out our last professional sports team and removes Oakland from professional sports probably forever–but certainly for decades–and costs the city billions in investment and economic activity.
A yes vote for the FEIR and stadium not only keeps our last professional sports team, it also creates jobs, makes our downtown and Jack London Square areas more competitive nationally, brings in revenue, and raises Oakland's profile. It also creates investment in the Coliseum location–meaning more jobs, more housing, and more improvements for Oakland.
I was born in Oakland, live in Oakland, and like many other residents, would like to see Oakland grow and thrive. A new stadium at Howard Terminal would be the best thing for this city. The alternative would be to gain the distinction of being the US city that has lost the most professional sports teams, ever.
I extremely oppose Oakland going forward with the Howard Terminal Ball Park deal. The City of Oakland is plagued with a crumbling infrastructure pot holes throughout the city, homeless Encampments growing by leaps and bounds.
City Council members, open your eyes and minds, the Oakland Community say NO to money being spent and will not benefit the overall residents of Oakland.
As an Alameda county resident, please vote yes to certify the EIR. The Oakland Waterfront Ballpark District Project is a tremendous opportunity for the community to come together, to create jobs, and to enjoy our beautiful waterfront. This has been a thoughtful process, and it's time to move this forward. Thank you!

D3 resident - Strongly support this project. Its good for Oakland and won't expose tax payers while also improving much needed infrastructure in and around Jack London Square.
I am an Alameda County home owner. PLEASE- Vote to approve this EIR. Build the stadium, realize the full potential of JLS and the waterfront. Build the ped/bike connection to Alameda. This will give both sides of the estuary easier access to goods and services. A thriving waterfront/recreational/commercial space will improve the economy and quality of life for everyone.
I am a resident of D6. I oppose the Howard Terminal project. This entire process has been opaque and confusing and beset by outside special interests. OakDOT funds could be better spent improving street and bicycle safety than on building infrastructure for a new ballpark. I feel like we are being held hostage by a billionaire trying to squeeze a free ballpark out of us.This is not what Oakland needs or wants

We need to preserve our port for good paying jobs. We have land available at the Oakland baseball and basketball facilities that can be updated by private /Oakland citizens interests.
I strongly support the stadium project, and I urge the council to act swiftly today to affirm the environmental impact report. This not only sets a floor for future important negotiations, but it recognizes that this is a tremendously valuable project both economically and environmentally for the city of Oakland in the region as a whole. This is a generational opportunity that has been worked on thoughtfully and tirelessly for years, and I thank the council for its continued support.
I am a resident of District 6. I oppose the proposed ballpark at the terminal location. The Coliseum site is already ideally situated near Caltrain, BART, the Oakland airport and Hwy 880. There is ample parking and this area of town sorely needs capital investment. It is not fiscally responsible for the city to direct public funds towards this frivolous waterfront project when we can't even keep our existing parks and streets clean and our neighborhood schools open. Further, it will impede essential commerce at the port of Oakland. I urge council members - especially my representative, Loren Taylor - to vote NO.
I strongly urge the City Council to certify this EIR. This is a fantastic opportunity for all of Oakland for many years to come. It brings jobs, a revitalized Jack London Square, open space, housing, and much more. After almost two years of dealing with a pandemic, we need this to happen now more than ever!
I urge the city council to certify the environmental impact report for this project. It was unanimously recommended by the planning commission already. This project will transform the waterfront in Oakland while being done to the highest environmental standards. The project takes what amounts to a polluting parking lot and transforms it into parks, the most environmentally friendly ballpark ever built, and raises the site to protect against sea level rise. This is a tremendous opportunity for Oakland.
This is a great deal! Due diligence was taken and this will ensure that an Oakland pastime is able to continue and thrive! It will also be incredible for the city's revenue and perception. This will do a lot of good for many Oakland communities!
As a lifelong resident of the area, I want to see Oakland win! This will be a huge win for not only the A’s but for Oakland, Alameda County and the East Bay. Please certify the EIR and move forward with this ballpark district project including being able to focus on needs such as community benefits, etc.
Oakland is a huge part of the A’s identity and the team has invested into staying in town. The A’s deserve a new ballpark after playing at the now outdated Coliseum for the past 50+ years and Oakland deserves an anchor that will bring life to Jack London Square and Downtown Oakland. Let’s Go OAKLAND!!!
As a long time resident of Oakland, I enthusiastically support the ballpark at Howard Terminal. I am not even a fan of sports or baseball but I am a fan of Jack London Square. Bringing a ball park to that area would bring more life and more MONEY to Oakland and downtown.

Build the stadium! Keep the A's in Oakland!
Build the stadium, improve Oaklands infrastructure/housing, and win a World Series.
