Well said. "A wave of corporate landlords have bought up large parts of Oakland's rental housing stock." Oakland's small black and brown landlords are an endangered species being being harmed and drvien out by Oakland's barrage of TPO changes with no consideration of the impacts to this vulnerable group of property owners.

Oakland's residents paid millions of dollars for economic study's and promotions to attract development to Oakland and the unintended consequence is the destruction of older affordable housing to build luxury condo's affordable only to the tech industry. Don't victimize the small landlord for economic development policy outcomes that catapulted the city in this trajectory.
