Please pass this legislation. For the last two years+ one trucking company has used the street in front of my residence to operate their business. They constantly ha be 3-5 big rig cabs parked on Grand Ave in excess of 72 hours. They pollute our neighborhood with exhaust and noise from sitting idle, oil on the street from working on their engines, and trash on the sidewalks. Their cabs also make it impossible to safely turn onto Grand Ave from Myrtle or Filbert. Please restrict truck parking to industrial areas and enforce. Thank you!

I highly support this legislation. It should be clear truck parking would be prohibited from parking near residential areas and parks, for both the trailer AND/OR cabs/tractor, and allowed only in designated industrial areas. In our residential area, cabs/tractors are taking advantage of the free parking and causing issues such as:

    - Blocking the view of oncoming traffic around residential intersections.
    - Running their engines at random hours during the day/nights. Creating hazardous air pollution outside of residential windows and constant noise in the middle of the night.
    - Trucking companies take advantage of the parking and are fully operating their business on the streets, creating hazards and stealing from nearby residences and businesses by:
--- Housing transient truck drivers in nearby RVs, who create trash and debris on the streets and sidewalks.
--- Stealing water and electricity from exposed waterlines and electric outlets from nearby businesses and residents.

I agree with the other commenters. I worry about my safety as both a pedestrian and a driver.

The tractor trucks parked on west grand Ave in between market street and filbert makes it very hard to see and turn left from Myrtle. It makes it really hard for the residents living on Myrtle street to turn left onto west grand when the truck tractors are parked there. For the safety of the residents we really need to prohibit them parking on west grand Ave. thank yku

Agreeing with others that the truck parking makes driving a lot more dangerous, and often you can't see bikes or pedestrians around them. Would love to see the truck parking limited and enforced

Driving onto West Grand from Filbert is dangerous when the trucks are blocking your view. You have to drive out and peek, and at the same time, cars are driving significantly fast towards you. I’ve almost gotten hit twice. As a result, I avoid driving onto West Grand from Filbert.

It's impossible to see traffic when turning onto West Grand from Filbert from the trucks parked here. It makes this corner really dangerous.
