Recommendation: Adopt A Resolution Authorizing The City Administrator To Enter Into A Professional Services Agreement With Bright Research Group Inc For Training And Capacity-Building Services For The Department Of Violence Prevention From September 1, 2026, Through December 31, 2028, For A Total Contract Amount Not To Exceed Five Hundred Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($513,000)
I wanted to offer my support for this vendor, as I have had positive interactions with them during the development of the Community Violence Reduction Plan authored by the Oakland Public Safety Planning and Oversight Commission (Measure NN commission). They provided invaluable expertise and insights into developing a comprehensive document and strategic plan with data insights on Oakland's public safety landscape. I believe that they will be a valuable partner for DVP as well.
