With the out of control crime wave, devastating Oakland and the lowest staffing of the OPD in its history, it is imperative that we use technology to help get ahead of this crime wave.
The hardcore ideologues that are against the safety cameras are also the same ones who supported defunding the police...
And were also against the recalls. We need to focus on tools for success to help Oakland and steer clear of failed policies that have devastated Oakland. Oakland needs to use technology to its advantage - That includes flock safety cameras, high altitude, fixed wing drones and the use of AI in whatever capacity it can assist in fighting crime. Give Oakland a REAL chance to succeed and not just barely survive!
The flock contract is very specific
And it's controlled by the city of Oakland. Oakland is a sanctuary city. California is a sanctuary state and the Attorney General Rob Bonta stated anyone who's in violation disclosing data on immigrants will be prosecuted. Oakland city council must approve the flock safety camera contract - Do the right thing for Oaklanders!
