Ahead of the Board meeting on WEdnesday, with the school district, i ask the district to work with the councilmembers and city leaders to please not give anymore music and arts education funding away. With the state of the districts finances, i worry about more cuts to our students programs. As this report highlights our most vulnerable students, Please make decisions that won't further harm them. The fact that funds are being rolled over and used for other purposes, even through a block grant,
not putting forth the funds in a responsible and Moral way to our most vulnerable students, strips them of the opportuntiy for this specialized education, that they need daily, as part of their development with guidance to develop in other much needed areas. From focus, to hand formation, and coordination, multi therapeutic Value, expression, self esteem, communication, and don't forget "safe and Joyfull".. Please fully fund inclusion for our most vulnerable students. Too many students like my son, have already been harmed by the districts actions of closing schools, and programs, with my son being one of them.
