There is a homeless encampment on 21st street that poses a serious safety threat to my community (630 TLB Way). Members of this encampment have started multiple fires right against our building in the past week, they have vandalized our cameras, and are reportedly dealing drugs in the open. These actions have been extensively documented on video, and I would be happy to share if evidence is needed.
The HOA Board has tried to work with numerous local authorities for months to move this encampment and improve the safety of my community, but nothing has changed. We have worked with the police (see report no. 24-063675), KONO, MACRO, and filed multiple 311 reports (ex. request no. 17981748), to no avail. The encampment has grown in size, and crime (particularly arson) has become much more frequent and dangerous over time, particularly this last week.
