Atthowe Fine Art Services, founded in 1971, became a worker owned cooperative in early 2021. The great economic benefits to Oakland should be recognized. Worker owners contribute to the success of our business and the wellbeing of our community . We are keeping good paying jobs in our local economy which in turn builds wealth in Oakland by people who live and work in the community. Evidence is mounting that employee-owned enterprises outperform their competitors, especially during economic downturns.
Thank you for advancing worker ownership in the city of Oakland, specifically to help Oakland-based companies transition to worker coops or other forms of employee ownership.
