    CM Fife should pull this from the consent calendar to inform the public about the Council's ability to accept or reject this pay increase. It includes an optional 5% additional increase above the CPI each year and if they plan on triggering. CM Kalb is also proposing a Good Governance ballot measure to increase council pay - they currently earn $103,621.82 with health and retirement benefits, car allowance and 3 to 4 staff person to support them. Councilmembers are not prohibited from taking other employment, We get it - this salary is just not enough to support your lifestyle.
