I'm happy to see that the frontage road truck designation ( Oakland Municipal Code Sections 10.52.060 and 10.52.120) is not part of the legislation today and support the much needed parking legislation going forward.

However, at the last council meeting is the Truck Routes portion of this item was separated out for further review, but the attached report is still the original report with both parking and truck routes. Strongly support this resolution for several safety and economic reasons. (1) Commercial parked along West Grand are dangerous to turning traffic by obscuring visibility. (2) Additionally, allowing them to do their commercial business in residential areas creates hazardous pollution and adverse health outcomes. Additionally, some of the specific companies guilty of this behavior are involved with a number of potentially illegal activities as well. (3) Allowing commercial vehicles to park in these areas hampers the development of storefront businesses, which are essential for the community.

Strongly support. This is now a residential area as well, many cars that are turning right or left from fillbert have obstructed views because of the height and width of trucks parked on West Grand. Please pass and enforce.

Please pass and enforce this to help make our neighborhood safer for all residents. The trucks make lots of noise, pollute the area, and create a turning hazard at the intersections in the area by blocking the view of oncoming traffic.

Please pass this ordinance to regulate trucks parking in non- designated areas. This is a hazard to all parties on the road as it blocks visibility.
