I strongly urge the council to not, yet again, approve a new city department on the backs of the Oakland residents. Identified available funding should be set aside and used for residents who are working hard to stay in Oakland and for those interested in truly investing in Oakland rather than enriching themselves. It’s enough worrying about how to successfully address gun violence, homelessness, unemployment, OPD issues, and a failing school district along with the crazies of the world wanting to cancel Black History. Now, I have to contend with paying a tax so that the rich get richer while those being displaced and become unemployed while a failing baseball franchise tries to survive. Perhaps if the owners were better businessmen, they would have by now have new and improved stadium in East Oakland with a winning team that they could afford to fund. SAY YES TO OAKLAND AND NO TO THE FISHERS. I won’t hold my breathe that you will. Good thing I can still easily vote for whom I want to represent my interests and that of my family. I’m truly ROOTED IN OAKLAND.

The needs of real Oaklanders are in opposition to this project, which looks to take dollars from the public to sink into a greedy developer's project. We need housing!

I am concerned about the enrichment given to persons who have approved the FEIR and those who have blindly accepted an inferior 3,500 page report. Now that we have come to the next step, I understand all are tired of this oppressive venture. As a tax payer I am offended that I would be expected to pay for something that will only enrich a billionaire. HOUSING onsite needs to be a priority. I mean critically low income persons 0- 24.00 per year income

This is an effort to use public dollars to pay for offsite infrastructure costs for the Oakland A's luxury real estate development outside of the development agreement process. It would circumvent the community process, earmarking $260 million of those funds for a variety of projects whose sole purpose is to support the A’s Howard Terminal project. FOR THE LOVE OF OAKLAND STOP SIGNING OVER OUR WEALTH & RESOURCES TO GREEDY DEVELOPERS.
