The National Black Caucus of the Green Party US opposes vaccine mandates. Imposing vaccine mandates divides and labels everyone as being either safe, healthy and clean; or being a bio-hazard, "unclean", and dangerous to share any indoor space with. Don't follow the misguided example of San Francisco, Berkeley and Contra Costa County and turn Oakland into a city demanding "papers please" at every door. People eat indoors all over the rest of the Bay Area without vax card checks. Vaccinated people can still catch and transmit the virus, so what's the point of implementing this intrusion into our privacy and basic rights?
