Recommendation: Adopt A Resolution To Adopt The 2022-2025 Strategic Investment Plan Of The Oakland Fund For Children And Youth As Approved By The Planning And Oversight Committee
My name is Margaret Gray; I am a resident of Oakland and I work with Tandem, Partners in Early Learning.
On behalf of Tandem, I would like to thank the Oakland Fund for Children and Youth staff, the Planning and Oversight Committee, consultants, and all of the community members who have contributed to this thoughtful strategic investment plan.
As an Oakland-serving nonprofit at the intersection of social justice and early education, we appreciate the focus on supporting young children’s healthy development from a holistic perspective. The commitment to support and engage families in a culturally and linguistically responsive manner to promote positive outcomes for young children 0-8 is critical. We applaud the multi-generational approach.
We are encouraged by the collaborative nature of this plan, and look forward to continuing to work together with the OFCY and other Oakland-based partner organizations to support children and families in Oakland. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
