I support Brooke Levin's comment. Open Space and Parks need to be properly focussed upon. In particular, neighborhood parks are suffering from inadequate support, maintenance, and capital investments, and require attention so that ALL of Oakland's residents can be served. The more housing we build, the more open space needs to be cared for and accessible to all. Please ensure robust participation by parks users and community groups, such as the OPR Foundation and neighborhood park friends groups.

I suggest this contract include the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation as none of the groups listed are connected with Parks and Open Space throughout the City. We have the voter approved Measure Q bringing in over $500,000,000 over the next 20 years most of which is to improve services in Oaklands parks and open space. The OSCAR is included in this group of General Plan updates which is very needed, now we need an Oakland based community nonprofit to connect with the voices in the community on behalf of Parks and Open Space.

6 year agreement should be based on performance.
