Adopt A Resolution Approving Non-Binding Terms Of A Development Agreement With The African American Sports And Entertainment Group (AASEG) For Disposition Of The City's Undivided 50% Fee Interest In The Coliseum Complex, Consisting Of Various Parcels Bounded By San Leandro Street, 66th Avenue, Hegenberger Road And Interstate 880; On The July 20, 2021City Council Agenda On Non-Consent
AASEG consists of Black Women and Men from Oakland with a vested interest in East Oakland. We were the only group to actually engage Community groups and residents and the only group to actually follow the process as instructed by City Staff last year. This is not only about Racial Justice and Equity, but also about Public Health and Safety. East Oakland residents deserve a space and place to safely congregate, and the jobs created will greatly benefit the Community.
