I am a district 1 resident, and I wanted to ask that you please support "Reimagining Public Safety Task Force" which is made up of community members and survivors of police violence, with no current or former law enforcement on the panel, keep the two seat chair for Councilmembers Bas and Taylor, and make sure all councilmembers' nominees be from their district. Thank you.

As a District 2 resident and homeowner, I am urging city council to support the Reimagining Public Safety Task Force. We need real representation on the panel - meaning it should be made up of community members and survivors of police violence. We also ask that no current or former law enforcement personnel are appointed to the panel. Lastly, we need to keep the two additional appointments for Councilmembers Bas and Taylor and ensure that all councilmembers' nominees live in their respective districts. Thanks for the opportunity to weigh in.

I am a resident of District 1. I am urging city council to support the “Reimagining Public Safety Task Force” to Defund OPD and Reinvest in Community. We need real representation on the panel — it should be made up of community members and survivors of police violence, NOT political favorites. No current or former law enforcement should be appointed to the panel. Lastly, keep the two additional appointments for Councilmembers Bas and Taylor and ensure that all councilmember’s nominations MUST be residents of their district.

My name is Cheuk-Ning and I am a community organizer of District 2. I am urging city council to support the “Reimagining Public Safety Task Force” to Defund OPD and Reinvest in Community. We need real representation on the panel - meaning it should be made up of community members and survivors of police violence, NOT political favorites. We also demand that ZERO current or former law enforcement are appointed to the panel. Lastly, we need to keep the two additional appointments for Councilmembers Bas and Taylor, and ensure that all councilmember’s nominations MUST be residents of their district.

I hope city council heeds our continued calls to action as elections roll around in a few months because we are tired of repeating ourselves and not being heard. We MUST defund OPD, this is the way forward in 2020 and 2021. Thank you for your time.

I am a resident of district 3 and I support this task force and believe it should be created without the presence of police. Instead community members, especially those negatively affected by police violence, should lead the charge in reimagining the ways we protect each other.

My name is Alex Acuña, I am a District 1 resident, and I strongly support the creation of this Task Force. However, if it is to be effective it must be made up of community members and survivors of police violence, not political appointees or current/former cops. Councilmembers' nominations should be from their district, and Councilmembers Bas and Taylor must be on the Task Force. Please create this Task Force with these additions.
