I am a resident of District 2 and, along with many other residents, have become increasingly alarmed by what is happening on Lakeshore Ave - vending, crowds, seasonal fireworks, dangers traffic violations, side shows, trash left behind, all day and all night partying. Lakeshore is becoming unlivable and unsafe for residents on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and many times during the week. I am advocating for the proposal to make Lakeshore Avenue a one-way street on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays year-round in order to mitigate the dangerous behavior that has been increasing over recent years. This would support lake visitors and residents to have a safe and joyful environment - without traffic, double parking, blocked driveways, disruptive large crowds, and illegal vendors.
