I been in Oakland a long time and I’m definitely seeing more and more cannabis stores opening up. Isn’t cannabis addicting too? Kids get hold of it stay high all day not functioning? So it’s ok to sell cannabis and promote cannabis because the city and state collects more taxes than they do tobacco. Yet tobacco does not affect a persons day to day life no matter how much you smoke. Just like alcohol can kill others and hurt others when irresponsibly used excessively! But there are plenty of those commercials on tv! Plenty of stores and businesses selling alcohol way more than tobacco. So why are funds and grants being given to the cannabis industry? Is that part of the 2019-2021 $3.29 billion dollars project that Oakland has? Oakland claims to support small businesses where and how? Are you offering grants to help small businesses renovate to make store fronts look better? Are you calling store owners to see if there’s anything you can do for them during this Covid-19 stay in place? No
