    Piedmont Pines Neighborhood Association Recommendations

    1. Staggering Initial Date for Inspection of Private Properties-initial inspections for different sections of the Hills should be staggered from mid-May through June and this schedule available to the public.

In 2017, residential demand for brush clearing services to be performed by or shortly after the May 16 inspection “start” date for the Hills far exceeded the available supply of brush clearing companies’ availability, resulting in predatory pricing and/or delays in completing the work.

    2. Roadside tree abatement along major Hills arterials, especially Castle Drive, and in Castle Canyon Park—There are a few major arterials within the PPNA geographic area that would benefit greatly from roadside tree abatement. One in particular, Castle Drive, is also adjacent to Castle Canyon Park that is badly in need of tree abatement, e.g., trimming and removal of dead trees and branches.
