4 The Item Regarding "HSI/ICE Raid In West Oakland On August 16, 2017" Was Moved To The Pending List No Date Specific By The November 9, 2017 Rules And Legislation Committee
I oppose OPD's cooperation with ICE, especially in light of the City Council's clear statement that no Oakland entity shall support ICE in its immigration-related activities in Oakland. The conflicting and misleading statements by the OPD Chief Kirkpatrick are very surprising, and give rise to renewed confusion as to who is running Oakland. If the OPD Chief intends to set an example for her officers to be ethical, honest, and transparent, this is an extremely bad precedent.
Too many "leaders" in our country are lying. Can our Police Chief feel our values and please follow our laws?
